Life is simple
It’s for me
I am birthed
To live for Thee

Knowing I am heaven sent
Sin destroys heaven’s scent
And life moves me away
Confusing and blinding

Creating a spiritual side
A relationship with God

Everywhere I look
Are things I want to do
All those things I shouldn’t
Seek to conquer and rule

Sadly I agree
Sinning again
Wanting my way
Knowing I will pay the price

Heartache and trouble
Fear and strife
Mortgaging my future
Bankrupt by my past

The moment comes
I seize my way
Ignoring Christ
I’ll get help another day

Sin is serious
It destroys me
I’m alone
Fellowship with Christ gone

Forgive me Lord
My heart felt plea
Jesus help me
Make me free

Free of those chains
That weigh so much
Making me weak

1 Samuel 6:20a “Who is able to stand in the presence of the LORD, this holy God?” they cried out.

Questions can lead us to the truth or cause us to drop off into despair. Who indeed can lead us into the presence of God? Too many people spend their entire lives seeking to justify themselves to God. Man cannot justify himself. The Bible tells us that all have sinned (Romans 3:23) but God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). Therefore anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13).

Good news for a troubled world. In Christ we can come to the Lord. Your life is important to Jesus.

Troubled world
Struggling hearts
Hurting souls
Do I count?

What is this?
The life I lead
Am I strong?
Can I live?

All around
Others rejoice
I seek the Lord
But problems seek me

Stop your worry
Spend you time
Sitting with Jesus
He will refine

The life you lead
Counts with Christ
Your soul is His
Claim paradise

Perspective is strong
See your strength
Each day you live
Is victory

The Lord is here
He is fighting for you

I can make a difference
In Some one’s life
Simply share my Jesus
And how He battles strife

Speak about the comfort
He brings each day
Reaching into my troubles
Taking pain away

Show the way He loves me
By loving those I meet
They are precious people
Christ makes me complete

I can change the failure
All of us feel
If I will listen carefully
Letting Christ have my hand

All of my troubles
Are made to be used
Letting Jesus lead me
Refusing the world’s abuse

Everyday with Jesus
Every hour with Christ
He will give me wisdom
To face the moments strife

I can speak forgiveness
I can give what I have
Life will be like heaven
As I let Jesus control my life

People count with Jesus
He wants me to go

Ask Jesus into your heart
Ask Him to forgive your sin
Bend your knee and let Him
Give His life to you

Everyday is a choice
Actions abound
What would Jesus do?
Is how I travel around

It may not seem like victory
To bend the knee to Christ
But every moment’s victor
Will come from life in Christ

How and what and when
Gives wisdom when we plea
Lord I need your guidance
I want your plan for me

Jesus is the resource
I must have for life
Wisdom guides my footsteps
Christ is all to me

And then the times I’m blinded
By the future’s active role
I can stand this moment
Christ will make me whole

Now I live forever
One day I will change
Christ will take me to the Father

The evil things you’ve done
Lusting after number one

Jesus died for you
Giving His life
To save you
So you could live for Him

Being in His presence
Gives us all we need
Jesus guides my living
By living in me

All of God’s resources
Come to me in Christ
Equipping me for living
Giving me His life

All the sin I’ve committed
Christ paid each and all
No more war to bother
Christ forgives me

Every breath I take
Every move I make
All that I am
Christ gives me His plan

A plan for value
An important goal
To live as Jesus brother
Serving those I know

All the lost need Jesus
Christ gave me some names
I go out to find them

Demanding all you have
Stomping out your wishes
Ending all your dreams

Tough and unforgiving
Never on your side
Taking what you value
Death always abides

Every time you conquer
Failure returns
Reaching out its fingers
Demanding the victory you’ve won

Savoring the moment
We quickly feel the pain
An aging life brings
Time quickly flees

Looking back at moments
As though they were just now
Reliving in a second
All those years we’ve seen

I demand better
I will not quietly die
I want a life forever
Jesus tells me why

Stepping up to the moment

Blind to life
A gift from God

Even spurn His love

In the midst

He drew me near

Joy received

He chose me
Seeing my sin
Feeling my weakness
Again and again
Holding me
When I failed
Victory came
Jesus healed

In Christ my Lord
Marching in eternity
Standing by God’s Son

All of life
Teaching me
I cannot do it alone
Fixing up my defects
Is done by Christ alone

Here I am in trouble
Now I need your fix
I try and try
No victory
Only Christ can fix

Possession
Relationships
Feelings
Behaviors
All are worshipful things
Breaking off my focus
Is the only way to succeed

Each of us has idols
They languish inside our souls
Some are better hidden
All bring disaster and woes
And Christ knows
What each one holds
He is able to deal with my foes

Only in exhaustion
When all else fails
Will I let Jesus
Rip my idols form their wells
And then I sense the victory
Removal quickly brings
The end result is Jesus
Is king of more of me
