POEMS ON FELLOWSHIP WITH JESUS. 1. Receive His Life

I came to You with empty hands.
I had nothing to offer.
You gave me Your life.

I thought I needed strength.
You showed me I needed You.
Everything began there.

The branch does not make fruit.
It stays connected.
Life flows from the vine.

So much of my struggle
comes from forgetting
Who lives within me.

You are nearer than my fears.
Closer than my thoughts.
Present in every moment.

When I fail,
Your life remains.
Your grace remains.

Lord Jesus,
teach me to live
from Your life and not mine.

2. Walk In The Light

The dark promises safety.
It always lies.
The light is where freedom lives.

You already know everything.
Nothing is hidden from You.
Nothing needs to be hidden.

The soul grows tired
carrying secrets
it was never meant to carry.

Your light exposes.
Your light heals.
Your light restores.

The cross removed my reason
for pretending
I am better than I am.

You invite me
to stand before You
with an honest heart.

Lord Jesus,
keep me in the light
where fellowship grows.

3. Listen To His Word

Your voice still speaks.
The noise of the world
has not silenced it.

Many voices call for attention.
Only one voice
gives life.

Your Word uncovers motives.
It reveals truth.
It points to You.

When I open the Scriptures,
I am not seeking facts.
I am seeking Christ.

You meet Your people
through pages
filled with Your truth.

A neglected Bible
often reveals
a neglected heart.

Lord Jesus,
teach me to hear
and teach me to obey.

4. Talk With Him Continually

Prayer is not a meeting.
It is a relationship.
It is life shared with You.

You never grow weary
of hearing
Your children speak.

The smallest concern
matters to You
because I matter to You.

In joy,
You listen.
In sorrow, You listen.

No road is lonely
when the heart learns
to speak with Jesus.

The day changes
when I remember
You are listening.

Lord Jesus,
keep my heart turned
toward You all day long.

5. Obey His Commands

Love is more than words.
Love takes steps.
Love follows.

You never ask obedience
to make life smaller.
You ask it to make life whole.

Your commands are not chains.
They are paths
that lead toward You.

Every act of obedience
opens another door
to fellowship.

The flesh argues.
Faith bows.
The difference is everything.

Many blessings are found
on the other side
of simple obedience.

Lord Jesus,
give me a willing heart
that follows quickly.

6. Depend On His Grace

I brought You promises.
You offered me grace.
One could never save me.

I thought growth
would come through effort.
You taught me dependence.

Your grace meets me
where I am,
not where I pretend to be.

When I stumble,
You do not leave.
You draw me nearer.

The cross reminds me
that mercy is not earned.
It is received.

My weakness
does not surprise You.
You knew it before I came.

Lord Jesus,
keep me resting
in Your sufficient grace.

7. Love What He Loves

Your heart moves
toward people.
So must mine.

You stopped for the broken.
You welcomed the forgotten.
You touched the unclean.

The closer I come to You,
the less I can ignore
the needs around me.

Love is not sentiment.
Love takes action.
Love gives itself away.

The cross stands
as the measure
of real love.

A hard heart
cannot walk closely
with a loving Savior.

Lord Jesus,
teach me to love
what You love.

8. Share In His Sufferings

No one seeks suffering.
Yet suffering often becomes
a doorway to You.

The valleys teach lessons
the mountains
never could.

Pain strips away
what is temporary.
It reveals what remains.

Many things seemed strong
until trouble came.
Then only You remained.

In suffering,
Your presence becomes
more precious.

The wounds of life
often become windows
through which we see You.

Lord Jesus,
meet me in sorrow
and keep me near.

9. Worship Him With Gratitude

The grateful heart
sees what others miss.
It sees the hand of God.

Every breath
is a gift.
Every day is mercy.

Complaining narrows the soul.
Thanksgiving opens it.
Praise enlarges it.

You have been faithful
more times than I remember.
More times than I know.

The cross alone
gives reason enough
for endless gratitude.

When I thank You,
my eyes rise above
the trouble around me.

Lord Jesus,
fill my mouth with praise
and my heart with thanks.

10. Abide In His Presence

Many things demand attention.
Only one thing
is truly necessary.

Your presence
is not a place.
It is You.

The world pulls hard.
It pulls constantly.
It pulls everywhere.

Yet Your voice
still calls me
to come and remain.

Peace is found
where You are.
Rest is found there too.

The greatest blessing
is not what You give.
It is Yourself.

Lord Jesus,
keep my heart
at home in You.

11. Remain In His Love

Long before I loved You,
You loved me.
That changed everything.

Your love is steady.
It does not rise and fall
with my performance.

Some days I feel strong.
Some days I feel weak.
Your love remains.

The cross settled forever
the question
of how You feel about me.

Fear speaks loudly.
Your love speaks truth.
Truth must win.

Nothing I discover
about myself
surprises You.

Lord Jesus,
teach me to live
inside Your love.

12. Follow His Example

You did not merely
tell us the way.
You walked it.

You served
when You could have ruled.
You humbled Yourself.

You loved people
who could offer
nothing in return.

You obeyed the Father
when obedience
led to a cross.

Your life shows me
what true greatness
looks like.

The more I know You,
the more I want
to be like You.

Lord Jesus,
shape my life
after Yours.

13. Trust Him Completely

Faith is not knowing.
Faith is trusting
the One who knows.

Many roads seem right.
Many voices sound certain.
Only Jesus sees the end.

The future belongs to You.
Tomorrow rests
in Your hands.

I do not need
all the answers
when I have Christ.

Fear asks for control.
Faith surrenders control.
That is the difference.

You have never failed
one promise
You have spoken.

Lord Jesus,
teach me to trust
what I cannot see.

14. Keep A Tender Heart

A hard heart
cannot hear well.
It becomes dull.

Pride builds walls.
Humility opens doors.
Jesus enters there.

The Spirit speaks softly.
The stubborn heart
rarely listens.

Conviction is a gift.
It calls me back
before I wander farther.

Repentance is not defeat.
It is the road
that leads home.

The tender heart
remains teachable
before God.

Lord Jesus,
keep my heart soft
before Your voice.

15. Wait Upon Him

Waiting is difficult.
The flesh wants movement.
Jesus often asks for trust.

You are never late.
You are never hurried.
You are never confused.

Many lessons grow
only in the soil
of waiting.

The quiet place
often becomes
the strong place.

When I wait on You,
I learn again
that You are enough.

The delay I fear
may be the mercy
I do not yet understand.

Lord Jesus,
teach me patience
in Your presence.

16. Rejoice In His Presence

Joy is not found
in circumstances.
It is found in Christ.

The world offers happiness.
It comes and goes.
Jesus remains.

Your presence
reaches places
earthly pleasures cannot reach.

The heart was made
for more than success.
It was made for You.

Even in sorrow,
there is a quiet joy
that belongs to Christ.

The soul finds rest
when it discovers
its true treasure.

Lord Jesus,
be the joy
of my heart.

17. Serve Him Faithfully

The smallest task
becomes sacred
when done for Jesus.

No act of obedience
escapes Your notice.
Nothing is overlooked.

You washed feet.
You carried burdens.
You served.

Greatness in Your kingdom
looks very different
from greatness in the world.

Faithfulness matters
when nobody sees
and nobody applauds.

A servant’s heart
grows from walking
close to Christ.

Lord Jesus,
teach me to serve
as You served.

18. Remember His Cross

The cross stands
at the center
of everything.

There I see
the holiness of God
and the love of God.

There my sin
met Your mercy.
Mercy won.

I return often
to that hill
outside Jerusalem.

The cross humbles me.
The cross comforts me.
The cross steadies me.

I never outgrow
my need
for Calvary.

Lord Jesus,
keep the wonder
of the cross alive.

19. Walk In The Spirit

You did not leave us
to walk alone.
You gave Your Spirit.

He points to Christ.
He magnifies Christ.
He reveals Christ.

The Spirit does not
draw attention to Himself.
He draws attention to Jesus.

Power comes
through dependence,
not self-effort.

The Christian life
cannot be lived
apart from Him.

The Spirit leads gently.
The wise heart follows.

Lord Jesus,
help me walk
in step with Your Spirit.

20. Long For His Return

This world is passing.
Its glory fades.
Its promises fail.

But Jesus is coming.
That promise remains
unchanged.

Every sunrise
brings us closer
to seeing Him.

The believer lives
with one eye
on eternity.

There will come a day
when faith becomes sight
and hope becomes reality.

The struggle will end.
The Savior will appear.
Joy will remain.

Lord Jesus,
keep me looking
for Your return.

21. Make Jesus Your Greatest Treasure

Many things sparkle.
Few things last.
Only Christ remains.

The world offers treasures
that cannot stay.
Jesus never leaves.

To know Him
is greater wealth
than gold.

To walk with Him
is greater success
than applause.

Everything finds
its proper place
when Christ is first.

The heart was created
for a King,
not for possessions.

Lord Jesus,
be my treasure
above all else.

22. Seek His Face Daily

Your hand gives blessings.
Your face gives fellowship.
I need both.

Many seek answers.
Few seek Jesus.
There is a difference.

The deepest hunger
of the soul
is not for things.

You invite me
into relationship,
not merely religion.

The more I know You,
the more I discover
I need You.

Every day begins best
when it begins
with Christ.

Lord Jesus,
teach me to seek
Your face above all else.

23. Confess Him Openly

You did not hide
Your love for me.
I should not hide my love for You.

The world has many names.
Only one name
saves.

A silent faith
often becomes
a shrinking faith.

You stood for me
before men,
before rulers, before death.

Your truth deserves
more than private agreement.
It deserves loyalty.

The mouth often reveals
what the heart
truly treasures.

Lord Jesus,
help me confess You
without fear.

24. Fellowship With His People

You never intended
for believers
to walk alone.

The Christian life
is personal,
but never private.

Your people are imperfect.
So am I.
Yet You love us all.

Many burdens become lighter
when shared
among Your children.

Encouragement is a gift.
It strengthens weary hearts.
It renews hope.

You often speak
through the kindness
of another believer.

Lord Jesus,
keep me connected
to Your people.

25. Learn Contentment In Him

The restless heart
always wants more.
The satisfied heart has Christ.

Contentment is not found
in getting everything.
It is found in trusting You.

Many things promise peace.
Most cannot deliver it.
Jesus can.

The soul grows quiet
when it learns
that Christ is enough.

Wanting less
often reveals
the richness of grace.

Your presence supplies
what possessions
never can.

Lord Jesus,
teach me contentment
in You alone.

26. Delight In His Presence During Ordinary Days

Most days are ordinary.
Most days are unnoticed.
You are present in them all.

You walk with me
through routines
and responsibilities.

The common moments
are not wasted.
They belong to You.

A kitchen can become
a sanctuary.
A workplace can become worship.

The simple duties
of life become holy
when offered to Christ.

You are not absent
from ordinary days.
You fill them.

Lord Jesus,
help me find You
in everyday life.

27. Let His Peace Rule Your Heart

The world offers peace
when conditions improve.
You offer peace now.

Storms still come.
Troubles still arrive.
Yet Christ remains.

Your peace is not fragile.
It survives
what circumstances cannot.

An anxious heart
looks inward.
Faith looks toward Jesus.

The heart settles
when it remembers
Who sits on the throne.

Your presence speaks
a better word
than fear.

Lord Jesus,
let Your peace
govern my heart.

28. Keep Your Eyes On Jesus

The world distracts.
The flesh wanders.
Jesus calls.

Many things
compete for attention.
Only one deserves it.

The eyes of the heart
must be trained
toward Christ.

Looking at myself
often produces despair.
Looking at Jesus produces hope.

The race becomes lighter
when my focus
stays on You.

Your beauty
has a way
of shrinking lesser things.

Lord Jesus,
keep my eyes
fixed on You.

29. Treasure His Promises

Your promises are anchors.
They hold fast
when feelings drift.

Every promise
reveals something true
about Your heart.

You have never spoken
an empty word.
You never will.

When darkness comes,
Your promises remain
unchanged.

Faith grows stronger
when it feeds
upon Your Word.

The future is secure
because Your promises
are secure.

Lord Jesus,
help me trust
every word You have spoken.

30. Love His Appearing

One day
the waiting will end.
Jesus will come.

The sky that now seems silent
will one day announce
the King.

The wounds of this world
will not last forever.
Christ will reign.

Every goodbye,
every tear,
every grave will answer to Him.

The believer lives
with anticipation,
not despair.

Our hope is not a place.
Our hope is a Person.
His name is Jesus.

Lord Jesus,
keep my heart longing
for Your appearing.

31. Know Him More Deeply Every Day

There is no greater calling
than to know Christ.
Everything else is smaller.

Salvation begins
a relationship
that never ends.

The years pass.
The seasons change.
Jesus remains inexhaustible.

The more I know You,
the more I discover
there is still more to know.

Your wisdom has no end.
Your love has no limit.
Your glory has no boundary.

Eternity itself
will not exhaust
the wonder of Christ.

Lord Jesus,
let every day
bring me closer to You.
